Bin-lang (betel-nut) girls in varying states of dress sell "Taiwanese chewing gum" from glass kiosks along the roadside. Red stained sidewalks might give one pause to imagine a gruesome murder has just taken place but it is in fact just the expectorated juice of the betel-nut.
